What to Expect

A welcoming, supportive space designed to help you move with strength, confidence, and ease.

Whether you are new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, we are here to guide you every step of the way.

  • Pilates is a method of movement that focuses on strength, stability, mobility, and control. It emphasizes quality of movement, alignment, and connection to breath. Rather than high-impact or fast-paced exercise, Pilates is designed to help you move more efficiently and feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected in your body.

  • The reformer is a specialized Pilates machine that uses springs, straps, and a moving carriage to support and guide your movement. While it may look complex at first, it’s actually very intuitive—and often more supportive than mat Pilates. The spring resistance can assist your movement, helping you build strength, stability, and control in a way that feels accessible and effective. We’ll guide you through everything, so there’s no need to feel intimidated.

  • We recommend starting with Reformer Foundations. From there, you can progress into other classes as you build strength, confidence, and familiarity with the equipment. If you’re unsure where to begin, we’re always happy to guide you.

  • Not at all. Our Reformer Foundations class is designed for beginners and all levels. Pilates meets you where you are, and we provide guidance and modifications to support your experience.

  • Not at all. Our studio is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and non-intimidating. Whether you’re brand new or more experienced, you’ll be guided and supported every step of the way.

  • Comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely is recommended. Avoid overly loose clothing, as it can make it more difficult for instructors to guide alignment and movement.

  • Grip socks (required for all reformer classes), comfortable clothing, and water. Grip socks are available for purchase in-studio if you don’t have a pair.

  • We recommend arriving a few minutes early for class. If it is your first reformer class, please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can guide you through the equipment and answer any questions before class begins.

  • This depends on your goals, but most clients see the best results attending 2–3 times per week. Consistency is key in building strength, improving mobility, and developing control.

  • Pilates focuses on quality of movement rather than quantity. It emphasizes alignment, control, and connection, helping you build strength and mobility in a way that supports how your body moves both in and out of the studio.

  • Pilates can enhance athletic performance by building strength, improving mobility, and developing control through movement. Many clients use Pilates alongside their regular training to move more efficiently, reduce strain, and perform at a higher level.

    It supports:

    • Core strength and stability

    • Balance and coordination

    • Mobility and range of motion

    • Injury prevention and recovery
